60. Investigation of matters relating to the education or training of certain persons

(1) Notwithstanding anything to the contrary in any law contained, any person who has been authorised by a professional board in writing to investigate any matter relating to the education or training of any person who is undergoing such education or training for the purpose of qualifying for the practising of any profession to which the provisions of this Act apply, may, for the purpose of making such investigation, enter any institution or premises utilised in the education or training of any such person.

 

(2) Any person who prevents any person authorised in terms of subsection (1) from entering any institution or premises referred to in that subsection, or who hinders him in the making therein or thereon of any investigation contemplated in that subsection, shall be guilty of an offence and on conviction liable to a fine or to imprisonment for a period not exceeding 12 months or to both a fine and such imprisonment.
