| (1) |
The registrar may not amend the registration or provisional registration of a private college unless he or she is satisfied that such amendment is in the interests of continuing education and training and is compatible with this Act. |

| (2) |
The registrar may require further information, particulars or documents in support of any application for such amendment. |
| (a) |
If the registrar decides to grant the application, he or she must— |
| (i) |
amend the certificate of registration or provisional registration accordingly; |
| (ii) |
furnish a copy of the amended certificate to the applicant; and |
| (iii) |
as soon as reasonably practicable after the decision, publish the name of the applicant whose certificate has been amended in the Gazette. |
| (b) |
If the registrar decides not to grant the application, he or she must advise the applicant in writing of the decision and furnish the applicant with written reasons for the decision. |
