8B. Furnishing chief inspector of explosives with Information in regard to plastic explosives

 

 

1) Any person, except the State or any organ of State, who or which has in his, her or its possession or custody or under his, her or its control any plastic explosive on the date of commencement of the Explosives Amendment Act, 1997, shall furnish the chief inspector of explosives appointed under section 2(1) in writing within 120 days as from the said date with information regarding the quantity of plastic explosive in his, her or its possession or custody or under his, her or its control on the said date, the manufacturer or importer thereof, any marks of identification thereon and whether it is marked with a detection agent or not.

 

2) Any person who fails to comply with a provision of subsection (1) shall be guilty of an offence and liable on conviction to a fine or to imprisonment for a period not exceeding two years.
