Chapter 5 : The conduct of land rights enquiry

1)	The Minister may in the prescribed manner designate an officer of the Department or appoint a suitable person who is not such an officer to conduct a land rights enquiry.

2)	The Minister may, with the concurrence of the Minister of Finance, remunerate and pay allowances to a land rights enquirer who is not a State official.
