Subpart 3 : Operating Requirements

175.03.4 Pre-flight and post-flight information services

 

(1) A holder of an AIS certificate shall make available to flight operations personnel and flight crew members as prescribed in Document SA-CATS 175, aeronautical data and information that—
(a) is essential for the safety, regularity and efficiency of air navigation;
(b) relates to the geographic area, aerodromes and air routes listed in the certificate holder's manual.

 

(2) A holder of an AIS certificate shall obtain aeronautical information from other aeronautical information services of other states and from other sources provided they satisfy the requirements prescribed in subregulation (1)(a) and (b) to enable it to provide pre-flight information service and meet the need for in flight information.

 

(3) A holder of an AIS certificate shall ensure that information or product originating from another State which has been annotated to be copyright protected is made available to a third party only on condition that the third party is made aware that the information or product is copyright protected.
