| (1) |
The work incidental to the performance of the functions of the council and its committees shall be performed by the registrar and deputy registrar, who shall be appointed by the council in consultation with the Minister. |
| (a) |
may delegate or assign to a person appointed or designated by him or her any power or duty conferred or imposed upon him or her by or under this Act; |
| (b) |
is accountable to the council and responsible for— |
| (i) |
the implementation of policy, rules and the codes of conduct determined by the council in accordance with this Act; |
| (ii) |
the day-to-day administrative functioning of the council, including the registration of agents with the council, the keeping of records of account. inspections and investigations into the affairs of agents and the institution and conducting of disciplinary or other proceedings against agents; and |
| (iii) |
reporting to the council on his or her activities in term of subparagraphs (i) and (ii); |
| (c) |
shall be appointed on such terms and conditions as the council may decide. |
