Administrative Adjudication of Road Traffic Offences Act, 1998 (Act No. 46 of 1998)Chapter II : Road Traffic Infringement Authority3. Establishment of Authority |
| (1) | The Road Traffic Infringement Authority is hereby established as a juristic person responsible to the Minister. |
(2)
| (a) | The Authority may do anything that is necessary to perform its functions in terms of any law, or assigned to it by the Minister. |
| (b) | The Minister may, on request of an issuing authority, assign any function vested in such issuing authority in terms of this Act, to the Authority. |
| (3) | The Authority must establish one national office, and may establish sub-offices at provincial or municipal level. |
